We are now in Lombok and took a day trip to the Gili Islands for some snorkeling on their reefs. The coral wasn't as colorful as that in Bali due to bleaching by El Nino, but we did see 4 turtles! We went in a traditional wooden outrigger boat. (We,ve got pics for you,John Henry Murray!!!)
The beach in the first picture is a bit like the one where you rode down the sandhille when we had a holiday with you in New Zealand.
